I want to sell my products on Amazon or other e-commerce sites, can Abacus Logistics help us launch?

Yes! We have worked with Amazon sellers for 15 years and have participated in every Prime Day since inception. Several of our customers' products have even been featured as the "deal of the day." We ship hundreds of thousands of DTC and Retail orders every year and can support your company no matter how ambitious your growth goals are!

How quickly will my inventory be received and ready for shipment to my customers?

Inbound shipments of all sizes, from small parcel to FCL (40’ ocean containers), are received the same day! Some clients may even qualify for two-hour receiving, a standard that is unheard of with other 3PLs.

 

 

What do your services cost? Do you offer flexible pricing that scales with my business?

Our pricing is customized for every project based upon our customers' needs. We are continually seeking ways to save our customers money by improving eliminating process waste and finding improved ways of operating. Our pursuit of perfection has enabled us to even lower our prices when we're able to reduce the labor cost associated with your workflow. We'll be happy to provide a quote upon learning more about your business requirements!

I've been told that using a 3PL is more expensive than performing this work ourselves. Is this true?

Abacus Logistics specializes in order fulfillment, kitting, assembly, light manufacturing and more. We can offer competitive pricing that is likely more cost effective than doing this work yourself. It is also beneficial to outsource this work to a 3PL so that you can focus on growing your brand.

What happens when we need to contact you? Is there an extra cost?

Supply chains are complex, so we want you to get in touch with our team as much as is needed to ensure your company is successful. There is never an added cost for speaking with one of our logistics professionals. Our team will know your name, and we will know your product.

 

Do you offer free account management?

Yes, you will be assigned to a Client Success team that is responsible for ensuring all SLAs are met, and that your team is delighted with our services. We view ourselves as an extension of your team, so we work hard to ensure that our partnership is mutually successful.

 

What if my requirements change, how do you handle that?

We thrive in complex environments with rapidly changing requirements! Abacus Logistics has a team that is highly adaptable, scalable, and willing to support customers that have unique challenges. We work with customers that seasonally scale up their average daily volume by 1000%, and those that have forecasting challenges, supply chain delays. As the one of the last stops along the supply chain, we seek to ensure that hiccups elsewhere in the process are never felt by your customers.​

What percentage of households can be reached within two days via ground shipping from your facility?

With a centrally located facility in the Midwest, we can reach 95% of the USA within two days!

 

Do you offer additional services, such as kit-to-order / kit-to-stock, labeling, inserts, assembly, rework, or building if display units?

Yes, we provide all these services and more. Whether you need us to pre-build kits to have available for a big product launch, or you need some final assembly of the product or its display unit, we can do this for you and package everything for safe transport.

 

Do you offer returns services? How quickly are they processed?

Returns are an unfortunate part of selling products. Our team can remove part of this headache by providing fast and efficient returns processing, so even your returns customers can be raving fans from the quick turnaround time. Returns are processed daily, and disposition is communicated quickly, so you can either return to stock, recycle/discard, or send off for refurbishment, all according to your company’s standards.

 

What does it cost to get setup as a customer of Abacus?

Absolutely nothing! We do not charge any additional fees to become a client of Abacus.

 

How long is the onboarding process? How soon can I be shipping?

This depends upon your business requirements. Do you plan to integrate any systems? How many SKUs do you have, what services do you require and what volume do you have? More complex, Enterprise Level customers may take several weeks while a smaller business could be shipping with us in under a week. We've onboarded a customer in as little as a day to ensure they encountered no service interruptions.

Does your storage pricing change during peak holiday season?

No, we charge the same competitive rates year-round, so you are never surprised by hidden fees.

 

Do you provide freight carriers? If we have our own carriers, can we still use them with Abacus Logistics?

Abacus Logistics is "carrier agnostic," which means we are willing to work with any carrier that you designate. We maintain close business relationships with the local terminals for all major small parcel and many of the regional truck carriers to enable priority inbound and outbound shipping of your products.

Can you integrate our order management / e-commerce platforms with your WMS?

Yes, our WMS has many integrations with a variety of e-commerce platforms, including Amazon FBA/FBM, Woo Commerce, Shopify, and more. We also can integrate with virtually any order management system that you may use to ensure your orders are processed in real-time.

What's your storage facility like?

Our headquarters is in central Missouri. It's a multi-tenant facility with both racked and unracked storage space. There are areas of the facility dedicated to assembly & production, order fulfillment, and storage.

Do you have a monthly order minimum?

No – we have several smaller accounts that are early in their growth trajectory. We work with growing and established brands alike, and we’re proud to have the opportunity to support businesses as they move from startup to mid-market and beyond.

 

 I don't have a need for all your services, may I pick and choose based upon my needs?

Absolutely! The "one size fits all" approach is rarely the right approach to solving your complex logistical needs. Tell us about your business and we can setup a customized solution that gives you everything you need, without incurring costs for services that you don't.

How is your warehouse team incentivized?

We align our metrics to yours – on-time performance, order accuracy, quality, inventory accuracy, response time, time to completion (inbound receiving, etc.). Our team’s success is closely tied to your success!

 

Do clients have access to your facility for visits?

Yes, we routinely schedule on-site visits with our clients so they can see our team in action, discuss upcoming projects, and ways to further improve our service. Give us a call and schedule a tour!
